To ensure a safe and comfortable journey for everyone, there must be at least one adult for every seven children in your group. This rule applies to all bookings and helps us look after all our passengers onboard.

Kids Go Free FAQs
Any passenger under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers aged between 0 and three years of age (inclusive) are classed as infants. All children (0-15) sail for free on the Isle of Man Steam Packet. Passengers 16 years and older pay adult fares.

Manxman has a dedicated quiet room located on the starboard (right) side of the vessel close to the shop and family area. This room also has babychanging facilities. Please enquire at the info desk for anything else you may need.
Passenger safety is our top priority and this policy ensures the safety and comfort of the group, fellow passengers and our crew whilst travelling on our vessels. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company defines a group as more than 8 people travelling together on one ticket. Groups of more than eight passengers must be booked via the Reservations Team either via email or telephone. Groups including children (0-15 years) must adhere to the following ratios of adults to children: Up to 16 Children, 2 Adults. Above 16 children one additional adult for every eight children. Maximum group size for one booking: 60 children. It is a mandatory requirement for a group to complete and return a copy of the ‘Group Children’s Conditions of Carriage’. Terms and conditions
- No fare for Children under 16 years of age on day of travel.
- All children must travel with an adult.
- Minimum ratio of 7 children to 1 adult when booked online.
- Offer applies to Economy and Flexi fares on all routes between UK/Ireland and IOM.
- Excludes special events and cruises
- No additional fuel surcharges. No additional fees when booked online. Group bookings of 8 or more children must be made by phone or email.
- Group bookings of over 8 children are required to be seated in pre-allocated seats. Seat booking charge of £2.50 per child per leg applies.
- Changes and cancellations to Economy and Flexi fares are subject to charges as per the Terms and Conditions.
- Kids go Free applies only to travel tickets. Upgrades, on board purchases and other items are excluded.
- Non-web bookings are subject to a telephone service fee.
- IOMSPC Terms of Business apply to all bookings.
